What does therapy look like at Georgia Center for OCD & Anxiety?
What does therapy look like at Georgia Center for OCD & Anxiety? A therapist will meet with you for an initial evaluation (your first appointment). During the first session, you and the therapist will determine if the therapist is the best person to provide the services you need to meet your goals. If both you and the therapist decide to continue working together in treatment, you will discuss a treatment plan and assess your progress as you proceed. If the therapist feels we are not the appropriate service provider, or you are not a good match for the services we provide, we will let you know, and then help you find a provider who might be a better match.

In treating OCD and Anxiety Disorders, we utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy / Exposure and Response Prevention approach.
