Dr. Justin Shewell completed his undergraduate training in social work (BA/BSW) at McDaniel College, Summa Cum Laude, and graduated with a Masters of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Maryland. He is a Licensed Psychologist (Psy.D.) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia. Justin earned his Master’s Degree (MS) and Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a licensed psychologist in Georgia.
Justin completed a full-time 2000 hour American Psychological Association approved internship in clinical psychology in a comprehensive community mental health center in Denver, Colorado, where he provided psychological evaluations and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. He has clinical experience providing services in a school system, youth services bureau, college counseling center, hospital, long-term residential treatment facility, community mental health centers, and in private practice. Justin specializes in the treatment of OCD and Anxiety Disorders using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and other evidence-based treatments. Justin continually participates in nationally recognized training in the treatment of OCD, Anxiety and related disorders.
